Local Entrepreneur Luke Henry to Share Vision for South Main Street at November Luncheon

WBC
October 24, 2019

Luke Henry

Set for Monday, November 11, 11:30 a.m., the Marion Women’s Business Council’s next luncheon meeting will feature local entrepreneur Luke Henry. The event will be in the Memorial Room located on the second floor of The Executive Building (formerly META Solutions), 100 Executive Drive, in Marion.

In July of 2018, Henry joined with Alex Sheridan and purchased eight buildings on South Main Street to revitalize and repurpose. They created Main Street Reimagined, a commercial real estate development company focused on historic buildings in downtown Marion, as well as The Brickyard on Main, a wedding and event venue.

Henry will provide an update on the progress of these current projects, and share some behind the scenes looks at the buildings and the process of restoring buildings that are nearly 200 years old. Henry will also discuss the overall vision, the real scoop on parking, and challenges and opportunities they have faced.

Henry is founder and president of ProScape Lawn & Landscape Services, a landscape construction and maintenance firm. ProScape started as Luke’s Lawns & Landscaping in 1998, incorporating as ProScape in 2005. Nearly 20 years later, ProScape has grown to be a vibrant business with branches in both Marion and Columbus, employing approximately 60 people. Under Henry’s leadership, ProScape has been featured in national trade magazines for their innovative practices, as well as regional and national awards of excellence. In addition to the companies mentioned above, Henry also founded and owns Classic Northern Investments, a residential real estate development and rental company.

Deeply involved in the community, Henry serves on the board of directors at The Marion Area Chamber of Commerce, Marion Community Foundation, and the Marion Palace Theatre, along with active membership in the Marion Rotary Club and Marion First Church of the Nazarene. Henry and his wife, Lindsey, live in Marion with their two children, Emerson and Olivia.

Reservations for this event must be received by Wednesday, November 6. They can be made by sending an email to [email protected] or by calling Sherry, Membership Co-Chair, at 740-751-6950. Guests are welcome with a reservation.

The Marion Women’s Business Council’s mission is to inspire women to reach their full potential through mentoring, networking, education, and recognition.  WBC luncheons are held the second Monday of each month, September through May. Anyone interested in joining may browse our website for a membership application and a complete program schedule.
