We help women business owners and independent professionals go from stressed out to streamlined in their business so they can spend more time on the work they love.  We coach women incorporating six keys to success:

  1. Clarify your goals and vision.  We assess where you are now versus where you want to be and help you refine your vision.
  2. Eliminate what drains you.  We find ways to automate, minimize, or eliminate tasks you dread doing, so that you can focus on tasks that use your strengths and talents.
  3. Put yourself first.  We believe that transforming your business from ordinary to extraordinary requires a deep-rooted program in the art of self care.
  4. Strategize your next best action steps.  We work together to determine the next best step, which eliminates the feeling of being overwhelmed. Extraordinary performance is natural when you are using your authentic strengths and talents every day.
  5. Enhance your skills. Many business owners and entrepreneurs are experts in what they do, but have no formal business training.  We help you build your skills around business planning and marketing success strategies.
  6. Master your success mindset. Richard Bach wrote, “Argue for your limitations, and sure enough, they are yours.”  We help you identify limiting ways of thinking that are working as obstacles and change them into mindsets that support your success.

As the Director of the Marion Area Convention and Visitors Bureau my main function is to promote Marion's facilities, resources and attractions to groups, organizations, families, and corporations as a destination for fun or business. We can supply you with list of gathering places, caterers, attractions and much more.

I keep busy, with my assistant director Bev Watt, by placing ads, planning creative itineraries, going to trade shows, implementing a marketing plan and welcoming individuals to town.

I work closely with our hotels and convention center to keep abreast of events that may affect the number of rooms being booked and when.

I work closely with our attractions to get their schedules so we can pass along to visitors to our community. Visitors to Marion have an assortment of destinations to choose from to entertain themselves. From popcorn to parades, from trains to threshing machines, from museums, monuments and mystery, there is something out there that will interest any and all age groups. That's what makes Marion unique. There are only a few other towns in Ohio that can claim to be the "home of a past president."

If you want to learn more about Marion and what it has to offer to visitors, visit our web site at www.visitmarionohio.com or call us at the bureau at 740.389.9770. Or if you have a major event coming in the new year and you would like for us to post it on our calendar and website, give us a call with the details.
