Terri L. Martin, Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director of Center for Workforce Development has been employed at Marion Technical College since 1988 and has been working with business/industry since 1992. Terri achieved an A.A.B. in Office Information from Marion Technical College in 1996 and currently serves as a liaison for the college with area businesses. Terri is a certified SHL testing provider, coordinating and conducting aptitude and skill-based testing. She also provides individual advising for employees/students and schedules quarterly classes to meet their needs. Terri is an active member of the Marion Area Women's Business Council. Ohio Continuing Higher Education Association and Enterprise Ohio Network. She also serves on numerous college committees.

Responds to inquiry calls from hospital discharge planners, families, and other referral sources. Conducts facility tours. Manages the admission process by maintaining updated bed availability and facility services information at all times. Manages the inquiry process professionally, timely and with appropriate follow-up. Effectively manages occupancy levels and census/premium mix enhancement. Makes sales calls outside the facility to medical, insurance, legal and financial professionals, and senior organizations, appropriate special interest groups, hospital discharge planners, and other community contacts. Develops and maintains relationships to advice referral services of bed availability and new product and services. Ensures appropriate admission paperwork and signatures are obtained from residents or responsible parties prior to admission. Communicates special needs of new admits to staff to ensure a smooth transition as well an many other responsibilities.

As coordinator my job is to be sure we are providing supportive, informative and preventive information to victims of crime. I supervise 2 other victim advocates, track statistical information and intercede if there are problems. I am also an advocate and provide many services to victims usually children. I also provide crisis response intervention to children or others.

Krista has been employed with Marion Technical College since 1988, working through various positions and promotions to her current position as Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Instructional Services. She achieved her AAB in 1995, and has many continuing education credits and certificates in her portfolio. She serves as project manager and liaison for the vice president with the college's academic deans and external accrediting institutions, and represents the vice president in all aspects of area management and supervision, as well as office systems and procedures.
