As the chief fiscal officer the Auditor is the bookeeper for elected officials and county agencies, and pays all the bills, including payroll. The Auditor establishes the real property value and distributes to each taxing district, tax money collected by the Treasurer. My office also estimates the tax a local government wants to put on the ballot. Other duties include: Sealing gas pumps, scales, and other measuring devices, Licensing vendors, dogs & others, Administering taax exemptions to senior citizens, churches, and charities, Distributing money to schools, local townships, and fire districts, managing the GIS computer system, this connects with the Sheriff's 911 tracking program, Moving county map information to GIS -Geographical Information Systems - on the Auditor's website http://mcoprx.co.marion.oh.us/auditor
